This position provides technical assistance to the operational staff and customers of Information Systems. The incumbent installs, configures and maintains personal computers, network hardware and software, printers, video terminals, file servers, data communication equipment and data and voice communications. Administers hardware maintenance service contracts and the purchasing of personal computer hardware and software. Is also responsible for assuring compliance with corporate computer hardware and software guidelines. This role will interface directly with customers to install and/or resolve system hardware and software failures, product performance issues and user quality improvements.
Job Responsibilities/Essential Duties:
Performs hardware and desktop troubleshooting to isolate and diagnose common computer software and hardware problems.
Resolves complex technical problems on new and existing systems including install and upgrades of server hardware, software, storage and networking products.
Ensures compliance with company technical and quality standards/procedures as well as the highest degree of customer satisfaction.
Escalates problems within parameters.
Develops and maintains client relationships and identifies opportunities to extend existing agreements.
Communicate sales leads.
Maintains effective communication with internal call dispatchers and with customers.
Completes required documentation for all work orders and provide updates in real time.
Ability to travel to customer sites and requires a valid driver license.
Works to completion.
Required to perform after hours and weekend installs as scheduled
May be required to be “on call” at scheduled times

High School Diploma required. Strong technical background required. 1 to 2 years of relevant industry experience.
