Certified Support Engineer
8:00 – 5:00 with some variations
Synergy IT Solutions, a regional provider of Managed IT products and services has an immediate need for a desktop support engineer for Microsoft platforms.
Microsoft is ending support for Windows 7 and there is a rush on to get off of that operating system. This individual will be a critical part of that mission to Windows 10 for Synergy customers. Additional experience in Macintosh and IOS a plus.
This role requires a candidate that is comfortable being in front of business customers and have excellent communication skills and business acumen. This individual should love the opportunity to troubleshoot/support/installing Microsoft Windows desktop operating systems and related productivity and utility applications – especially Microsoft Office 365.
With Microsoft is ending support for Windows 7 and other “end of services” platforms this role is a critical part of that mission to Windows 10 for our customers.
Job Duties and Responsibilities:
Ability to work with end users for on-boarding a new PC or laptop.
Ability to work with end users to bring in a level of compassion and reassurance for dealing with new technology, applications and devices in their work life.
Ability to migrate desktop applications – profile(s) - favorites – shortcuts – all of that personality configurations that needs to get moved over so the customer doesn’t lose any productivity.
Ability to work with end users to introduce new personal devices and train them in the appropriate steps to best utilize the devices.
Ability to configure printers and install new print drivers on personal laptops.
A broad understanding of Microsoft email and Office 365
Able to support customers on premise locations as well as joining an occasional extended team project to replace an entire fleet of laptops and PC’s in the US over a weekend deployment.
